The Champions League Final on Saturday will have two American players on the pitch, Christian Pulisic and Zach Steffen.
The present and future of American football is bright with Americans playing leading roles on many great European clubs. American players abroad include Weston McKennie at Juventus, Tyler Adams at RB Leipzig and Giovanni Reyna at Borussia Dortmund. Americans have been holding up cups with Timothy Weah at Ligue 1 champions Lille, Brenden Aaronson with a league and cup double with FC Salzburg, McKennie for the Coppa Italia and Reyna for the DFB-Pokal.
All eyes will be on Chelsea and Manchester City Saturday at Wembley Stadium. Both clubs have great managers in Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola who no doubt will be playing cat and mouse with substitutions as the match goes on.
Making its first appearance in a Champions League Final, Man City is favored. Pulisic will be attacking from right side midfield.
Will the American Pulisic score in the match or with a penalty kick in a penalty shootout?
